The Aztecs
The Aztecs were a Mesoamerican people who lived in what is now Mexico City and the surrounding terrain beginning in the 14th century. They supposedly crawled out of the caves of central earth in search for a new home, Huitzilopochtli their sun god led them to Tenochtitlan where they started their empire. They vicously fought the surrounding tribes until the empire stretched a collosal radius. It wasn't until 1521 when the spaniards invaded, where they vanquished. They were a mighty warrior tribe who worshipped a set of respected gods, by making sacrifices and holding celebrations. Their emperor would govern over the land and make the decisions. The Aztecs were busy, they tended to illnesses with herbal remedies and magical cures from 'the gods.' They erected temples and had priests hold celebrations and sacrifices. The farmers where busy harvesting maize and squash whilst the slaves worked hard for the nobles. But they still continued some inhumane and agressive practices and their unwillingness to compromise, ultimately led to their downfall.
