Jobs
The Aztecs had plentiful amount of available employments for them to choose from however it was an unwritten law that unless one has a passion for a different profession or power, it was standard to for the males to follow their families' blood line profession. However the females would usually swap to becoming housewife's, who would take care of children and the huts. The amount of money acquired would depend on the job. Slaves were paid nothing but were supplied with minimal food and shelter. The farmers often didn't earn much money but had a large stock of food. Commoners had enough money and food to live day by day comfortably. Merchants and soldiers and craftsmen could live comfortably while still hard working. Finally the nobles and royalty had a large stock of money and food at their demand as well as several slaves. The nobles would often be advisors, scribes, priests and battle commanders so they still had responsibilities.

Rights
The Aztecs had a reasonable and fair amount of rights to a high degree. They were allowed to say what they wanted to and leave if they wanted. And they had the right to disagree or rebel. However they could not demand education, food and shelter as they had to earn themselves. This is where many Aztecs sacrificed their rights for freedom and rebellion in order to gain minimal food and cramped living space as a slave. Aztec women had around the same amount of rights. They could pursue their own career and didn't have to become a housewife if they wanted. However it was very unusual. They also didn't have to get married or have children if they protested but this was very rare. Aztec women had a plentiful amount of rights compared to other ancient cultures at the time.
