Aztec Birthdays
Aztec birthdays were humble & simple. Whilst nobles obtained several small offerings the commoners received very few. There would often be a dinner and rejoice in the Aztecs families house. There was also a tradition that a young man could not cut his hair until he made his first kill in battle, making him a man.

Aztec Weddings
The Aztecs believed the purpose of weddings was to bring new children into the world thus. Aztec men usually got married around the age of 20 whilst the women on average were wed at the age of 16. Once a matchmaker gained consent from the bride a huge party would be thrown in her house. The actual ceremony took place in the grooms house which would attended by a priest. The matchmaker would tie the bride's blouse and the groom's cloak together as a symbol of their love. This is where the phrase 'Tying the knot' originated from. The couple would then pray for 4 days straight whilst their families and friends celebrated. On the fifth day, they would be husband and wife.

Aztec Funerals
The Aztecs believed in afterlife and the 9 underworlds. They thought once you died you would go to the lowest underground, and would live a harsh but normal life. They believed that if the dead proved worthy they would move up one underworld which would gradually become more extravagant. Until you reached the top where you would be reborn on earth. The Aztecs would bury their loved ones with significant objects so that they could continue to live that same life in the underworld. However if a noble man died her wife would be forced to be buried alive to show her loyalty. If he had a slave they too would be sacrificed. Relatives would gather and a priest would attend the ceremony.
