Education
Aztec children had very little to no education, unless they were respected nobles or royalty youth. These children studied priesthood and health as well as battle strategy. A very small percentage of children learned how to read and write. Common children were expected to learn all the necessary skills from their parents so that they could continue on in the future. The nobles could grow up to become priests, doctors and battle commanders as well as advisors to the emperor whilst the commoners would most likely continue their family’s profession.

Religon
The link between employment and religion was very distinct. There was several jobs which required great understanding of the gods, mostly the upper-class jobs. Even the emperor had to have great knowledge of their religion to go through his routine of rule. Priests needed to be able to communicate with the gods as well as doctors who sought after magical cures. Religion was the gateway to a more powerful job.
